My story so far...
Ever since I can remember, I have been baking. Whether it be with my mum or on my own, I have had a passion for it since a young age. I find baking a sense of freedom, I go into my own world.

Throughout my high school years, I have had an interest in Food Technology, to which I carried out all the way to A-Level. This has helped widen my knowledge in the cake world. I had an opportunity through school which enabled me to create a cupcake bouquet (as shown on my home page), which was professionally photographed for a school calendar. This gave me an extra boost in confidence, knowing my own creation had been used in a calendar, which helped raise a large sum of money for my school.
I have been lucky enough to spend time with a retired professional cake decorator, whom specialises in sugar-craft flowers, and spend some time at a bespoke cake decorators shop for work experience. I have had a part-time job at an artisan bakery for a couple of years, based in Wilmslow. This has been an excellent help for me, and I am grateful for the knowledge I have gained from this job.

I create cakes for special occasions including birthdays and anniversary's. As shown from all of the photographs displayed, I create cakes decorated with either buttercream or fondant - whatever takes your fancy! Luckily, if you just fancy a box of cupcakes, I can cater for your needs too.

The love I have for creating cakes is stronger than anyone will ever know, and I hope you love the finished product as much as I do.

After leaving sixth form in May 2017, I decided that I wanted to start my own business as soon as possible. I came across an online cake course which would award me with a Diploma, so I jumped at the opportunity! I learnt a lot from the course and it has definitely given me a confidence boost, as it taught me about pricing, recipes and even wedding cakes. It took me 10 months to complete (which is longer than I expected) but it is a lifelong course so I wasn't limited to a timescale, life just got in the way sometimes!
Alongside this, I registered my business in September 2017, and registered my kitchen. (There is a lot to do before starting a cake business, so I was definitely overwhelmed.)

In March 2018, my kitchen was inspected by the hygiene inspector. Luckily, I bake from my parent's kitchen so it is always thoroughly clean and tidy - thanks mum! I did't get told what my hygiene rating was during the inspection, so I to anxiously wait for 3 weeks until my score arrived in the post. It came on 6th April 2018. It felt like opening your exam results! I was very pleased to see that I had been awarded a 5!
